The District 50 PTO is looking for volunteers for the annual carnival on October 8th. They need people from 3:30-9. Students can volunteer to help anytime between those hours and can work for however long they want. Contact Tina Lacy @ 618-318-2271 for more details and to sign up.

Homecoming Court- Don’t Forget, you and a parent need to meet by the band on Friday just after the start of the second quarter of the game for coronation. You are responsible for bringing your flowers & sashes. Natasha Plumlee will be there to direct you.

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for winning the Carterville Invitational on Saturday.

Congratulations to Ian Henne, he received 1st place in the 15 and over division at the Rend Lake Otters Kickoff classic swim meet this weekend. He finished 1st in 4 of his 7 events.

You can currently sign up for the Beta Club Blood Drive dead line is October 6th anyone who is 16 needs a permission slip from their parent, all who participate will need photo ID.

Congratulations to Colin Woodside, Dalton Pyatt, Brinna Thomas, Josie Gleason, Ashley Wild, Collin Swetland, and Justin Restoff for earning perfect scores on their laboratory safety test in Chemistry Class.

Your PCHS volleyball team will be hosting a “dig for a cure” game here in the auxiliary gym tomorrow night vs. Duquoin at 7:15 pm. This year the girls are raising awareness for pancreatic cancer in honor of Stu Wright. There will be baked goods for sale and our drum line will perform. Wear your purple to the game tomorrow night and support all those affected by cancer.

2015 winning homecoming float was the Sophomore Float. Which means the Senior Class of 2016 was the Champion of the PCHS Spiritweek Competition. Congratulations Seniors.

Pistol City Saloon will be hosting a benefit for the Thornton’s  on the 9th of October. They will have music with Route 66, and a silent auction. Everything will kick off at 8:30. If you have items you are willing to donate call Karen at 618-318-6980. Donations for the family are also being accepted at PC.

Sophomores: Now that your fundraising materials are in, you need to get the money collected and turned in to Coach Bruns ASAP.
