Scholarships

It is your responsibility as a student to check this page frequently.  As we hear about new scholarships & opportunities, we will add the information to PCHS daily announcements and to this sight.  Please see Ms. Wilkin or Mrs. Hickam if you have any questions.  While we do not fill out your applications for you, we are happy to look over them with you to determine improvements and suggestions.

SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Abbott and Fenner Business Consultants -Visit their website at http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm to learn more about this opportunity.  If you have any questions, please direct them to scholarships@abbottandfenner.com. Scholarship Deadline June 15, 2012

  • Sigma Phi Epsilon, Balanced Man Scholarship — This scholarship is being offered to the incoming male students who have excelled int he areas of scholarship, leadership, athletics, and community service during their high school careers. To qualify, you must be a full-time student at the SIUE during the fall of 2012 and have the application postmarked by June 1, 2012.  Please see Ms. Wilkin for an application.
  • 2012 Psi U Scholarship — The Psi Upsilon Scholarship Grant Program awards scholarships totaling $3000 to three incoming male freshman attending the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual, and social excellence. Applications are available at www.illinipsiu.com/scholarship-application. Deadline for application is Thursday August 2, 2012.
  • AES Engineering Scholarship — AES Engineering are offering a $500 scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.   • Future Accounting Professional Scholarship — AccountingCareersforDummies.com is offering high school seniors in Illinois the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship.  This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an accounting career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students should visit their website, http://www.accountingcareersfordummies.com/ to find eligibility information along with the online application form. Deadline May 31, 2012.
  • SIUC is proud to offer a new Legacy Tuition Rate starting Fall 2011! This discounted tuition rate is available to newly entering freshman or transfer Undergraduate students who have parent(s), stepparent(s) or legal guardian(s) who are graduates of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Students will pay an alternate tuition rate of 0.80 times the applicable in-state or out-of-state rate for Undergraduate students guaranteed for four years! Students who qualify for more than one alternate tuition rate (i.e., Southern Stars) should choose the rate with the best financial benefit.   • First generation students (students whose parents have no education beyond high school) at SIUC may be eligible for the First Scholars Program scholarship. Beginning Fall 2011, 20 scholarships of $5,000 each will be funded by the Suder Foundation.
