Please see Ms. Wilkin or Mrs. Hickam if you have any questions. While we do not fill out your applications for you, we are happy to look over them with you to determine improvements and suggestions.

PCHS Education Foundation Scholarship
Applications for the PCHS Education Foundation Scholarship are now available in the PCHS Counseling Office. Applicant must be a permanent resident of District 101 for at least 2 years prior to date of application, demonstrate financial need, achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and plan to enroll in a degree program at an accredited University. Application Deadline is February 28, 2012. Please see Ms. Wilkin for application.
PCHS Local Scholarships
The following is a list of the local scholarships that are available to PCHS seniors graduating in May of 2012.
Directions for submitting local scholarships: All local scholarships forms can be accessed and filled out electronically by clicking on the title of the scholarship below. Once you have filled out the form, print out the typed application and turn in the hard copy along with any attachments to Ms. Wilkin in the Counseling office.

Caring & Sharing Thrift Shop Memorial Scholarships 11-12
Applicant must be an Allied Health or Medical Major. Two letters of recommendation from health professionals are required. Up to 8 scholarships may be awarded.
Chamber of Commerce Dick Corn 1994 State Champions Scholarship 2011-12
Selection based upon the applicant’s GPA, ACT or SAT test score, rank in class, coursework during high school, participation in extra-curricular activities during high school and an essay written on “Extra Effort.” Emphasis for selection will be given to the applicant’s academic achievements.
Chamber of Commerce “All my life I wanted to be a Panther” 2001 Championship Scholarship
Selection based upon the applicant’s GPA, two letters of recommendation, involvement in community projects and activities during high school, extra-curricular activities during high school and an essay written on “How Community Service has Enriched My Life”. Emphasis for selection will be give to the applicant’s involvement in community service projects and activities.
Chasity Kay Chapman Memorial Scholarship 11-12
Applicant must be a female who is planning to attend Rend Lake College. Preference will be given to applicant in the Top 10% of class who is majoring in Business or Vocation.
Applicant must be PCHS graduating senior who planning to attend a 4-year University.
Emily Rae Pfau Memorial Scholarship 11-12
Applicant must possess an ACT score in the top 10% of the senior class at PCHS.
First National Bank Scholarship Application
Open to any PCHS senior, recipient is chosen based on academics, financial need, activities, and essay.
National FFA Scholarship Board will be awarding a Pinckneyville FFA member a $1000.00 scholarship. The scholarship is a partnership between Suchomski Equipment and AGCO Corporate. To compete for this scholarship students will have to fill out the National FFA Scholarship, which also puts the student in the pool for thousands of other scholarships. Deadline for application is February 15, 2012.
Applicant must be planning to enter a medical profession. Recipient is chosen based on a combination of financial need and academic achievement.
IAHCE-HCE Educational Scholarship
The applicant must be pursuing a degree in the fields of Agriculture or Consumer and Environmental Sciences and be a resident of Perry county. HCE members and their immediate family will be given priority.
JD Jenkel Memorial Scholarship 11-12
Any PCHS graduating senior who plans to attend college or 4-year University. All seniors are encouraged to apply!
Kristen Cunningham Music Scholarship 11-12
PCHS graduating senior who plans to enroll in a music ensemble at a community college or university. Applicant must provide evidence of enrollment.
Marion Eye Center Scholarship 11-12
Marion Eye Center offers two scholarships for PCHS graduating seniors. One scholarship is based on academics (must have a GPA of 3.0 or better) and the scholarship is based on financial need.
PerryCountyDemocratScholarship11-12
The award is a nonrenewable award which will be made to one graduating senior from each of the following high schools: DuQuoin, Pinckneyville and Trico. The scholarship is to be awarded based on academic merit and interest in public service.
Perry County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a Perry County Farm Bureau member or a dependent of a Perry County Farm Bureau member, be a high school senior or already attending a post-secondary school, be enrolled in fall classes at a post-secondary school to study agriculture related field as determined by the Foundation Board, and exhibit potential for successful completion of course of study.

Daffron Presswood Post #2504 Scholarship
The Pinckneyville American Legion offers this scholarship to all graduating seniors who plan to enroll as full-time college students. Preference is given to a child or grandchild of a Veteran and someone who is not receiving another scholarship.
Pinckneyville Elementary Education Association Scholarship 2011-2
Applicant must be a graduate of Pinckneyville Jr. High School and entering the teaching profession.
Prusacki and Stein Scholarship 11-12
Applicant must be a graduate of Tamaroa Grade school who plans to attend college. All Tamaroa Grade school graduates are encouraged to apply!
Sidnee Stephens Memorial Scholarship 11-12
Applicants must be a graduating senior from PCHS. Recipient chosen based on activities, letters of recommendation, and essay.
Stephanie Hill Memorial Scholarship 11-12
Applicants must be a member of the PCHS Pom or cheerleading team and in is in the top 10% of their class.
Tamaroa American Legion Scholarship 11-12
Applicants must be a graduate of Tamaroa or District #204 grade schools. Preference is given to a child or grandchild of a veteran or active duty service person.
Verna Mae Mohr Honorarium Scholarship 11-12
Applicant must be in the top 10% of their class and be accepted into a nursing or medical program at any accredited institution.
Wyatt D. Eisenhauer Memorial Fund Scholarship
Open to all PCHS graduating senior. This scholarship is intended for a student planning to attend college or 4-year University. All seniors are encouraged to apply!

- AITCOY Scholarship — The Association of Illinois Township Committee’s on Youth is again offering a five hundred dollar scholarship – applications are due by April 5, 2012. Please visit www.aitcoy.org for an application and more information.
- ILMDA Scholarship – The Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Association Educational Foundation offers scholarships to selected students to pursue industry-related course work at colleges and universities. Any student who is enrolled full time in a certificate or degree program in an accredited trade school, 2-year junior college, or 4-year university and who is a resident of Illinois is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Please see Ms. Wilkin for an application. Deadline is April 3, 2012.
- Sigma Phi Epsilon, Balanced Man Scholarship — This scholarship is being offered to the incoming male students who have excelled int he areas of scholarship, leadership, athletics, and community service during their high school careers. To qualify, you must be a full-time student at the University of Illinois during the fall of 2012 and have the application postmarked by Monday, April 16, 2012. VISINE® STUDENTS WITH VISION™ Scholarship – The first annual VISINE® STUDENTS WITH VISION™ Scholarship Programis offering one-time $5,000 scholarships to students who have demonstrated a clear vision or goal for their future. High school seniors and current college students with a minimum GPA of 2.8 may submit an online application beginning February 15, 2012. The deadline to apply is April 16, 2012. Spanish Essay Contest 2012 — The Damas Latinas is offering a scholarship with the purpose of promoting among high school students the value of education as well as the importance of studying the Spanish language. This year they are offering three $200 Scholarships to the high school seniors who have taken 3 years of Spanish. Please see Ms. Wilkin for an application. Deadline for application is April 21, 2012.
- TWM-Inc Scholarship — Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc. is offering two $1000 scholarships to each of two current high school seniors who will be enrolling in accredited civil engineering or land surveying bachelor’s degree programs in Fall 2012. This scholarship is open to a limited number of high school in our area. You may download the application and instructions from www.twm-inc.com. The deadline for application is April 6, 2012.
- AES Engineering Scholarship — AES Engineering are offering a $500 scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. - Future Accounting Professional Scholarship — AccountingCareersforDummies.com is offering high school seniors in Illinois the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an accounting career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. - General Assembly Scholarship — Mike Bost presents the General Assembly Scholarship Program which allows each member of the Illinois General Assembly to award scholarships to students who have been active in public affairs and who have needs of scholarship assistance. Applicants who apply for a one-year scholarship must be resident in the 115th Representative District and accepted at a participating university as a full time student. For application and more information see Ms. Wilkin. Deadline for application is April 30, 2012.
- Western Egyptian EOC Scholarships — Western Egyptian EOC has scholarships available for high school graduates desiring to further their educational training at an Illinois 2 year or 4 year college or university. Four scholarships in the amount of $1000 will be offered. Applicants must reside in Monroe, Perry, or Randolph Count. The scholarship will be applied toward tuition and fees; textbooks and supplies; or room and board. Please see Ms. Wilkin for applications. The deadline is March 30, 2012.
- Artstarts Scholarship — Artstarts Company is offering a college scholarship to a graduating high school student in Southern Illinois who plans to pursue a college degree in arts related field. Please see Ms. Wilkin for further details. The deadline for application is March 16, 2012.
- Buick Achievers Scholarship Program — High School seniors and current undergraduates who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2012-2013 and plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry should apply. Applications are available at www.buickachievers.com. Application deadline February 29, 2012.
- Fred S. Bailey Scholarship — Students planning to attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign are encouraged to apply. Scholarship awards are $3000 each academic year and may be renewed if scholarship requirements are met. Applicantions will be available online January 18 to February 28 are are available at www.universityymca.org/bailey.
- Illinois Municipal Utilities Association Scholarship — IMUA is offering a $500 scholarship competition program for eligible high school seniors. Any PCHS senior student whose parent or legal guardians are residential natural gas, wastewater, or water customers of the City of Pinckneyville may participate. For application materials please see Ms. Wilkin. Deadline for submitting applications and essays is Friday, March 9th, 2012.
- Illinois Division of Sons of Confederate Veterans Illinois Society, Military Order of Stars and Bars – The SCV/MOS&B is offering a $1000 Scholarship to a graduating senior, male or female, who resides in Illinois and will be enrolling in the fall at a Community College, College, or University. See Ms. Wilkin for more information and an application. All application materials are due by March 15, 2012.
- Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program — Illinois Elks Association presents Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program. This program sponsors College Scholarships for Physical & Occupational Therapy Majors only. Applications are available online at: iea-ccc.info or iea-ieccc.info. The deadline for applications is March 9, 2012.
- Illinois Farm Credit Scholarship – To be eligible, scholarship applicants must be high school seniors who plan to enroll in a college or university during the fall 2012 semester and who will be pursuing an agriculture-related academic major or career. Applicants must reside in one of the sixty southern counties in Illinois served by Farm Credit Services of Illinois. The scholarship application deadline is March 2, 2012. - 2012 FFA Scholarship — Each year the National FFA Organization awards approximately $2 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of our applicants. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. The selection process takes into account the whole student – FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics. Scholarship application is available online at www.ffa.org. The deadline for application is February 15, 2012 and the required Signature Page must be mailed postmarked no later than February 22, 2012.

- Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarship Program– The Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation has been awarding scholarships to Illinois high school seniors for approximately 40 years. Every year AMVETS awards one year $1,000 non-renewable scholarships to current Illinois High School Seniors. The AMVETS and the AMVETS Subsidiary Organizations value the importance of education and support the educational pursuits of all students. - GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program — The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program annually awards rounghly 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with $10,000 renewable scholarships – up to $40,000 total per recipient. - U.S. Bank Scholarship Program — Forty lucky high school seniors/college undergraduates will win a $1,000 U.S. Bank scholarship. High school seniors who will be attending a U.S. Bank Student Loan eligible four-year college or university are encouraged to apply. Winners will be selected at random. - Illinois Hospital Research and Educational Foundation and St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship — St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital offers scholarship opportunities to students entering the medical profession. - Physical Therapy Scholarship or Loan Forgiveness Program — Southern Illinois Healthcare is offering $21,000 Scholarship or Loan Forgiveness program. The applicant must be enrolled in the professional phase of a PT program. Deadline is May 1, 2012. - IEC Memorial Scholarships – Egyptian Electric Cooperative will be awarding seven academic scholarships to high school seniors through a memorial fund designed to financially assist deserving students in the “electric cooperative family.” In addition, an eighth scholarship is being offered to assist with costs in attending an electric lineworker school. - SIUC is proud to offer a new Legacy Tuition Rate starting Fall 2011! This discounted tuition rate is available to newly entering freshman or transfer Undergraduate students who have parent(s), stepparent(s) or legal guardian(s) who are graduates of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
