Job Opportunity: Clinical Instructor for CNA Course

Pinckneyville High School District #101 seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Instructor for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course for the Spring Semester of 2025. 

Position Details:

  • Title: Clinical Instructor for CNA Course

  • Term: Spring Semester 2025

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license.

  • Completed an IDPH-approved Evaluator Workshop before receiving initial approval. This requirement applies only to RNs with associate's degrees and diplomas. Nurses with a BSN or higher are exempt.

  • Completed an IDPH-sponsored Train the Trainer Program.

  • Possess at least one year of experience as a nurse in one or both of the following areas:

    • i) Teaching theoretical concepts in an accredited nursing education program; or

    • ii) Delivering nursing care, including personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, to older adults or chronically ill adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical instruction as part of the Certified Nursing Assistant course.

  • Supervise and mentor CNA students in both classroom and clinical settings.

  • Ensure compliance with all program requirements and maintain a safe and effective learning environment.

  • Collaborate with the CNA program coordinator and other instructors to enhance student outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching experience in a healthcare or educational setting.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for fostering learning and professional growth in students.
