The mission of National Merit Scholarship Corporation is to recognize and honor the academically talented students of the United States. Will advanced to the Finalist standing by demonstrating through distinguished performance, high potential for future academic accomplishment. Will is the first PCHS Student to receive this recognition in over 20 years.

PCHS Weekly Activities Calendar

Tickets for the Regional Semifinal basketball game at Breese Central will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday 2-20. These tickets will only be good for the 8:00 pm game. Breese administration will be clearing the gym after the 6:00 pm game. They have advised our fans not to arrive early. Students who are paid members of the Zoo Pep Club and PCHS Staff will have the opportunity to buy their tickets at the start of second hour tomorrow. Tickets for chair seat holders will go on sale in Thomas Gym at 5:00 pm (2/20), followed by season bleacher ticket holders, and then the general public. There will be limited tickets available at the door at Breese Central Gym on Wednesday night. All tickets are $5.00.

Music at DuQuoin Lights!

We have some exciting news! Our local O’Reilly Auto Parts, and Wix Filters are teaming up with the Pinckneyville FFA to help raise money for our chapter. For every Wix Filter box top collected, 25₵ will be donated to Pinckneyville FFA. To donate, please drop off box tops at Pinckneyville O’Reilly or at Pinckneyville High School. All Wix filters box tops can be donated, no matter where they are purchased. We are thankful for the support, and appreciate both our local O’Reilly Auto Parts team, and Wix Filters for their support of FFA. “At WIX, we love to play in the dirt. Dental Safari is coming to PCHS! Remember all 9th grade students are required by the state to have a Dental Examination. Dental Safari offers a great opportunity to get your dental exam by coming to us! You may register online by using the link on the flyer. Students may also pick up a Registration Consent Form in Nurse Queen's office. This is not just for 9th grade students, any student interested may complete the registration form and sign up.

The Boys Basketball Scrimmage game is tonight (11/16) at 6 pm. Come out and meet the Basketball team as well as Cheer and Poms. Admission is a case of water or gatorade.

While you are here supporting the PAWS team and/or the Blue & White game tomorrow, bring some extra cash for some yummy baked goods!

Boys Basketball Information: The 22nd Annual Billie Ray Craig Tip Off Banquet will take place on Friday 11/17 at 6 pm in the Auxiliary Gym. Everyone who attends will need to purchase a ticket and present it at the door for admission. Tickets can be purchased from any boys basketball player or coach or in the main office. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased with cash or check made out to: “Billie Ray Craig Tip Off Banquet". A ticket is required for admission to the banquet. The guest speaker for the evening will be former NCAA Division I basketball player and Coach, Mitch Gilfillan. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle as well. The PCHS Boys Basketball Blue/White scrimmage will be on Thursday 11/16 at 6 pm in Thomas gym. A case of water or Gatorade will be required for admission to the scrimmage. If people aren't able to bring water/Gatorade, monetary donations will be accepted.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Volleyball team for winning the DuQuoin Regional Championship. We will be hosting the Sectional next week in Thomas Gym. The schedule is as follows Mon., Oct. 30 Match 1 at 6:00 pm: (1) Fairfield vs. (2) Pinckneyville Match 2 at 7:00 pm: (1) Metropolis (Massac County) vs. (2) Carmi (C.-White County) Wed., Nov. 1 Match 3 at 6:00 pm: Winner Match 1 vs. Winner Match 2 Doors will open for fans at approximately 5 pm. Tickets will be available for $6 on the GoFan app or $7 at the door. If you are using GoFan, you will need to purchase the tickets in the app on your smartphone.
